The Ivory Elephant of Love and Remembrance

Today marks 14 years since Scott and I did the deed. No, it isn't our wedding anniversary, we don't have one of those since we aren't married. But on June 11th, 1992, Scott moved in with me, and so it is our 14th "shackin-up-iversary." If there had been one of those wedding ceremonies if we were recognized legally and religiously, this would be our Ivory Anniversary. Ivory what? Ivory soap? Ivory bows and ribbons? So here it is, my cyber-gift to my husband on our Ivory Shackin-up-iversary.

One ivory elephant. Because I will never forget all that you've done for me, or all that we've been together. I love you baby!

  2. congratulations E! You know, it's funny because when people ask how long Wil and I have been together, it's hard to respond. We've lived together since '99, married since '02. Which answer do you give? You did the smart thing, you only have one date to remember. :)

  3. haha, well Ang, I have the fun of trying to explain who he is... most people know him as my husband, but in "official" situations... My boyfriend? My fiancee? My "significant other" my common law husband? My "baby daddy?" It gets interesting sometimes. I mean, at some point, saying "he's my boyfriend" becomes extremely embarrassing!

  4. Heh, I have a friend that's been with the smae guy for close to 20 years, but they never married. Just last year they finally went and got married just to solve that terminology problem. She was just tired of being in her 40's and having to use a high-school word like boyfriend. :) Now there's a good reason to go and get hitched, eh?
