The Death Certificate

I got his death certificate in the mail today. Such a cold and impersonal document to mark the passing of such a beautiful soul.

He deserves more, more than a few slots filled in according to governmental protocol, he deserved more than 4 months and 4 days.

It just wasn't enough.

  4. Hello, my dear friend. I hope you don't mind . . . I read Zella and Nova at my reading. It wasn't planned, but, right before we left . . . I just couldn't leave without it.
    later.

My soul has been twice buried. I dug it up and dusted it off once. I'm not sure Im ready to do it again yet.

This picture makes me cry every time I see it. I can't come to my own blog without blubbering since I posted it. This is the way he always looked at me... like he knew something I didn't. This picture gives a glimpse of the wisdom that you could just see in him.

    James~
Mind?! Of course I don't MIND! I'm (selfishly) very glad you did. Hell James, climb on the roof and yell his name and I wouldn't mind.. your reading is an extension of his reach... more people that have, in some way, been touched by something he touched.

    love you
