I don't know too

Escape:

of the fight-or-flight reflex choices,
when the fight's gone out of you,
all you can hope for
is escape.

And what happens when
what you want to run away from
is inescapable?

I don't know.

  1. You sink or swim. And we cannot be too hard on ourselves if we sink. Life is long there are plenty of chances to make things right. And with, luck, patience, some Infinite Divinity (if such a thing exists), and friends, family and loved ones around the inescapable can sometimes be more bearable, no? ~ML, Hugs, MikeyC How are ya, E? :-)

  2. Just stopping by returning the visit. I did post a reply back in the comments for the post you looked at. As I am fascinated by writing as well, I will have to stop back again when I get more time. In the meantime, keep writing and best.

  3. Hiya Madman!

Death is definitely one of the escape options... I left it a bit vague intentionally. I think it could mean running away, divorce, death. . . I like that my readers can read this and interpret it as they see fit, and apply it to their situation however it may fit...

for you sir, I think escape might be a vacation from work, or getting cubicle dividers! ;)
