Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. - Dr. Seuss
Alright, I'm guilty! The two quotes (by Mariah Carey and Al Gore) have been removed because they aren't true. I should have checked them out before posting them. It's still scary though that these 2 public figures have said enough stupid things that those 2 quotes have circulated as truth and the majority of people don't question it. Either we (me included) are that stupid, or the intelligence of those 2 people is actually that questionable!

  1. lmao...and people wonder why I ramble on about the ignorance that plagues this country. Ugh!

  2. I think the Mariah Carey quote is an invention, and that the 'impurities not pollution' quote originated in MAD magazine as a fictional Dan Quaylism, later applied routinely to other politicians thought be be stupid or unaware of the environment (neither would apply to Gore, I would think).

  3. I knew the Mariah one because I liked it so much when I heard it before I'd tried to track it down!

  4. Mariah's and Al's might not be true quotes, but all of these sound like somethin' Dubya would've said! What a hoot!
